GTCC Vice President of Student Support Services Named President of Southside Virginia Community College

Dr. Quentin Johnson has served as Vice President of Student Support Services at Guilford Technical Community College since 2012.

JAMESTOWN, N.C. – Dr. Quentin Johnson, vice president of Student Support Services at Guilford Technical Community College, has been named the next president of Southside Virginia Community College. He will begin his new role in July.

Dr. Johnson came to GTCC in 2012 and assumed the role of vice president of Student Support Services. He has worked in higher education senior leadership roles for more than two decades.

“We have been fortunate to have Dr. Johnson as part of our senior leadership team for the past seven years. His genuine dedication to our students’ success, the college’s mission and our community will be greatly missed. We congratulate him on being selected as Southside Virginia Community College’s sixth president,” said GTCC President Dr. Randy Parker.

Dr. Johnson was selected from a national search that attracted 81 applicants. Southside Virginia Community College is located in southern Virginia and serves an area that includes 10 counties.
